The Waiting Room is one of Melbourne’s most highly acclaimed lobby bars located within Crown Towers which is Melbourne's ONLY Forbes Five-Star Hotel. The Waiting Room Melbourne is one of the city's most luxurious bars, where old world grace and glamour meets new world contemporary opulence and style. Bringing together contemporary elegance and sophistication, this intimate lobby bar is an exquisite venue where guests can unwind with a classic cocktail, indulge in high tea, or dine from the bar menu.
To add to the intimate experience of this chic venue we require an experienced Restaurant Manager who has strong product knowledge in a bar and dining environment and a passion for delivering the highest standards to our valued guests. This is a venue that strives for perfection in finer details and where opulence is key.
The Restaurant Manager reports to the Operations Manager, and is responsible for the daily operations of the venue and driving new business. The position is accountable for managing guest expectations and providing ongoing support of the team.
What you need:
- Previous management experience in a premium bar or dining environment
- Exceptional leadership skills with the proven ability to coach and mentor a team
- Sound commercial acumen to manage a P&L for the outlet
- Exceptional grooming standards appropriate for a 5 star environment
- Confident communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong time management and organisational skills
