Event Manager Specialist for Catering & Events Company: Catering Project
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and self motivated event manager to broaden their career and join one of Sydney’s up and coming events teams and very successful delivered catering company.
Along with managing and growing our existing events business the role includes adding the finishing touches to and assisting the role out of the businesses new events brand.
The role is focussed on staffed off-site events rather than delivered drop off catering which is already managed by a separate team.
Reporting to our Senior Event Manager, this role requires the successful applicant to conceptualise and deliver premium corporate and private small and large scale events. The ability to design and execute high end styled events as well as working in collaboration with Sydney style and design companies is required. A minimum of 2 years experience working within a similar role is required.
KEY RESPONSBILIBITIES:
- Create bespoke events for private and corporate clients;
- End to end delivery of events managing your onsite team on event day;
- Maximise sales revenue and meet sales budgets;
- Maintain and grow your client base;
- Assist the role-out of the businesses new events brand.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE POSITION YOU WILL HAVE:
- Minimum two years experience within a catering event management role;
- Strong understanding of the current dining market and style benchmarks;
- Ability to reach set budgets and maintain margins;
- A proven track record in event sales;
- Excellent Computer experience with Event software and Mac systems;
- Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain strong client relationships;
- Must work flexible hours including nights and weekends;
- A strong desire to design, experience putting together client proposals, mood boards and design concepts;
- Operational knowledge of event production;
- RSA;
- Current Australian drivers license.
