The Branksome is a brand new Hotel at Robey Street, Mascot boasting over 150 suites from Studio to 3 Bedrooms. It is walking distance from the Sydney Domestic Airport and less than 15 minutes away from the Sydney CBD. This 4 star establishment is expected to provide the best hotel in the airport precinct.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Front Office – All Rounder to join the Front Office team.

About the role:

  • Welcome guests at check - in, cross referencing reservations details and fare-welling guests at checkout
  • Attend to incoming calls by answering queries and providing outstanding guest service
  • Ensure all guest requests are accurately actioned with prompt follow through
  • Create innovative ways to up sell additional services to our guests
  • Enter all necessary data in the computer system and be able to balance at the end of a shift
  • Maintain high level of professionalism and ensuring procedures are followed in relation to guest confidentiality and the issuing of room keys
  • Maintain an immaculate grooming standard
  • Process reservations either by phone, fax or email.
  • Demonstrate highly professional telephone manner and excellent communication skills
  • Provide information on all facilities provided within the hotel
  • Demonstrate high level of customer service at all times
  • Provide outstanding administration and organisational skills
  • Perform shift work including overnight shift, working weekends and public holidays
  • Maintain high level of attention to details
  • Transfer external & internal calls to the appropriate departments/suites

 

We are looking for someone with:

  • Sound knowledge of Opera PMS or similar reservation system
  • Ability to work in a fast paced team environment
  • Strong eye for detail to ensure all data is entered correctly
  • Passion to deliver exceptional customer service
  • A ‘can do’ attitude and be willing to learn new skills
  • Excellent communication skills; including both verbal and written.
  • Previous work experience at a five star hotel in Front office or Reservations environment
  • The availability to work full time including weekend work as required 
  • Full work rights in Australia.
