About the Role
As the Catering Chef you will be assisting the Head Chef with the day to day operation of the catering division whilst maintaining stock levels, coordinating production and driving with menu planing and designs. This is a growing operation which is currently providing all catering for our external social, corporate and conference facilities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- General food preparation daily
- Preparation of quality made to order meals with a focus on presentation
- Assist with weekly stocktaking where required
- Comply with food safety standards
- Maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment and storage areas
Key Skills & Experience:
- Exceptional time management
- Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Ability to work well within a team and autonomously
