About the role
We are currently seeking a part-time chef for an established childcare centre in Queanbeyan. Flexible in hours.
Your skills and qualifications should include:
Holding relevant food handling certificates.
A current Working with Children Check.
Experience and passion for creating healthy children’s meals .
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to maintain a clean and tidy kitchen
Your key priorities will be to:
Plan nutritionally balanced meals in line with 'munch and move' (NSW Health)
Preparation of meals, including but not limited to: morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late snack
Create menus on a 3 week rotation and display in an appropriate location within the centre
Ensure complete familiarity with special dietary needs of children within the centre
To comply and co-operate with WHS policies, procedures.
