About the business
Pathways Sailors Bay is currently seeking a Full Time Chef for our 5 star Aged Care Facility on the Lower North Shore, working Monday to Friday. Family friendly hours with immediate start.
About the role
The position is to prepare and cook restaurant quality meals for 120 residents.
Skills and experience
You will require the following attributes for this position.
- Experience and love of creating exceptional meals.
- Strong communication skills to lead a team.
- Design our menu to produce an inspiring dining experience.
- Sound knowledge of special dietary requirements, allergens, texture modified foods.
- Have experience of NSW Food Authority audits and their requirements.
- Must hold a Cert 3 in commercial cookery with at least 5 years solid experience in aged care, hospitals or restaurants.
- Have an understanding and working knowledge of HACCP procedures.
- Monitoring of food costs and ordering of supplies.
- Excellent English language skills.
- Be well presented and self-motivated.
