Cater Care are seeking an experienced Chef for casual work at a student accommodation facility in St Lucia.

Reporting to the site Manager this is hands on cooking, organizing functions and working in a busy kitchen. We are looking for a dynamic chef who is creative, innovative and trending on food styles and flavours. Your role in this environment is to ensure our students, staff and function guests have the opportunity to enjoy their meals in a friendly and vibrant atmosphere with excellent food service and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Cooking of a variety of nutritious home style and gourmet bulk meals for student and teachers daily meals
Cooking for various functions: conferences and theme days
Maintaining servery, platting up and student engagement
Maintaining kitchen hygiene and Food Safety practices

Key Criteria:

Trade Qualified Chef
Experience in bulk cooking, functions/conferences and or high end catering
A passion for great food and customer service
Strong OH&S awareness
Initiative, motivation and desire to lead
Ability to communicate to various stakeholders
Client, Customer and Employee Engagement skills

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational context. You will be a well presented and self-motivated individual who has excellent organisational and communication skills.
