About the Organisation

Established on July 1st, 2015, the Gold Coast Primary Health Network (GCPHN) has the key objectives of increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services for patients, particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes, and improving coordination of care to ensure patients receive the right care in the right place at the right time.

About Partners in Recovery (PIR)

Partners in Recovery (PIR) is a national program funded by the Australian Government through the Australian Government Department of Health (Department of Health). PIR aims to better support people with severe and persistent mental illness and complex needs, and their carers and families, by getting services and supports from multiple sectors they come into contact with (and could benefit from) to work in a more collaborative, coordinated and integrated way.

About the Opportunity

GCPHN has an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer to join their team on the Gold Coast. This role is being offered on a full-time or part-time (minimum 0.6 FTE - 3 days per week) contract basis until 30 June, 2019.

Working closely with the Senior Project Officer, you will contribute to the development, implementation, management, reporting and evaluation of Primary Health Care Projects to achieve strategic objectives and the operational plan of GCPHN.

More specifically, your day-to-day duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Contributing to ongoing project administration to meet the objectives of strategic, operational and project plans; and
  • Monitoring and reporting on the progress of approved project deliverables, including performance indicators, targets and budgets, to ensure quality outputs.

GCPHN is looking for a Project Officer with highly developed communication and project management skills who will support senior colleagues in the administration of the PIR program. Your extensive experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and ability to build relationships will be pivotal to your role.

The ideal candidate will possess the proven ability to think conceptually, analyse complex issues and develop innovative solutions and strategies, whilst working within organisational constraints and budgets. Whilst it is not a requirement,candidates with mental health or disability sector experience and understanding of National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) eligibility and processes will be highly regarded.
