An exciting opportunity currently exists for a Personal Care Worker to join St Vincent’s Care Services Eltham. Due to our focus of continuity of care for our residents, we will offer no less than 6 shifts per fortnight, spread across morning, afternoon, evening and night shifts, both weekday and weekend shifts with a maximum of 76 hours per fortnight. Our Eltham facility has both nursing home and cottages requiring Personal Care Workers and we encourage applicants to apply who share a genuine desire to care and assist residents with a strong person centred care focus.

To be successful in your application you will need to demonstrate:

• Previous experience in a similar role;
• Certificate III in Individual Support / Certificate III Aged Care or similar qualification essential;
• Previous experience with Autumn Care (desirable);
• An ability to provide personal care that is consistent with the mission and philosophy of our organisation;
• Ability to follow directives as per can plan;
• An ability to work within a multidisciplinary team;
• An understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities;
• Great time management, bedside and communication skills;
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
