About the Role

Autism Queensland's P-12 independent school at Brighton has an opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our therapy team to provide exceptional OT services to our students.. 

Our dedicated therapy team works under a trans-disciplinary model and consists of Registered Teachers, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists. This is a fixed-term, full-time position until 5 October 2018.

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy 
  • Current registration or eligibility for registration with AHPRA
  • Proven provision of high quality, evidence-based OT services to children and young people with ASD/developmental challenges
  • Proven knowledge of child and adolescent development, play and engagement, learning, sensory processing, and understanding and managing behaviour
  • Experience in the design and implementation of group and individual strategies and programs
  • An ability to work and communicate effectively with families and professionals in addressing additional needs of children
