Casual Medical Receptionist – South Melbourne

 

Doctors of South Melbourne is a modern, private billing clinic that opened in October 2017. We are conveniently located close to public transport, opposite the famous South Melbourne Market. The Practice is owned and run by a female GP who is committed to putting the care back into family medicine.

 

Position details:

  • Training will commence in July
  • Casual position approximately 30 hours per week
  • Shifts: 4 days a week Monday - Friday
  • Extra shifts available when covering annual leave and sick leave
  • Must be available over Christmas and New Years
  • Opportunity to go part-time/full-time in the new year
  • Remuneration is in accordance with Health Professionals & Support Services Award

 

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing an outstanding level of customer service – being the first point of contact for all visitors
  • Handling and directing all inbound calls
  • Booking & rescheduling appointments
  • Accurately entering patient information
  • Processing payments
  • Maintaining the appearance of the clinic
  • Opening and/or closing the clinic
  • Other ad hoc administration as required

 

Experience & attributes:

  • Prior experience working as a receptionist or in an administration role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with high emotional intelligence
  • An enthusiastic & caring personality
  • The ability to work cohesively within our team & also be able to work autonomously
  • Outstanding time management skills, including the ability to multi-task
  • Advanced computer skills (previous experience with Best practice would be highly desirable)

 

To be considered for the position you must:

  • hold a current Working with Children Check
  • hold a current First Aid Certificate (CPR)
  • be an Australia Citizen
