Non-accredited Neurosurgery Registrar, St. Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne 2019
Thank you for your interest in the position as a Non-accredited Neurosurgery Registrar at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne Campus, in 2019.
This non-accredited position is a critical role and adds to the team of 9 Neurosurgeons, 1 Fellow, 3 Registrars and 6 HMO’s. The registrar is involved in the daily management of patients at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne campus including theatre. This position will also cover the on-call roster when registrars are on leave and will be involved in auditing, journal club, neuropathology, neuroradiology, neurovascular and tutorials. Research is encouraged in this position.
This post will commence Monday 4 February 2019 on a 12 month fixed term contract with a compulsory orientation program on this day for all staff new to the Hospital.
The Department of Neurosurgery offers a broad range of neurosurgical procedures with a particular emphasis on the management of intracranial tumours, skull base surgery, pituitary, epilepsy and spinal surgery.

Registration with the Medical Board of Victoria (AHPRA)
Appropriate health professional tertiary qualifications
Clinical Skills in Neurosurgery appropriate to level of training

Selection Process:
Candidates are selected and ranked on the basis of their written application letter and Curriculum Vitae.
