Position: Registered Nurse, approximately 30 hours a week in the afternoon/evenings Monday to Friday (1pm – 7pm, hours are negotiable).
Mediscreen Clinic is a well established, fully accredited and busy family general Practice located in Hawthorn East. The clinic is a beautifully appointed and well equipped clinic with large treatment room facilities.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team of friendly and hardworking individuals, delivering great patient service. This is a fast paced role in a busy medical practice and would suit an applicant able to manage multiple tasks with confidence.
Currently we are seeking a registered nurse to join our friendly, pleasant and supportive team. The practice provides general consultations, medical examinations, minor surgery, immunisations, women's health, diabetes/asthma screening and education with on site pathology collection, on site pharmacy and some allied health.
We are a modern & computerised workplace and experience with Pracsoft and/or Best Practice software is desired but a high level of computer competency is compulsory. Previous practice nursing experience is highly valued, as is the ability to work as part of a small team. A high level of organisation, efficiency and excellent communication skills is required. We will provide on-the-job training and remuneration in accordance with experience and qualifications.
Principle Duties Include:
- Routine immunisations and travel vaccinations
- Assisting with minor procedures
- ECGs and Pathology collection
- Management of recalls
- Assisting patients to set up e-health records
- Preparation of GP Management Plans & Team Care Arrangements
- Working to help clinic reach Asthma and Diabetes PIP targets
- Aged care and health assessments
- Health promotion and education
- Restocking medical supplies and equipment
- Providing additional support to the medical team
Essential Criteria
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Experience with computers- (Medical Director/ Best practice and Pracsoft highly desirable)
- The ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
Previous experience as a Practice nurse is desirable but not essential if you have other experience that you feel would make you suitable for the role
