In response to rapid growth in our area, we are looking for dynamic clinicians to join our multidisciplinary Allied Health team to improve client outcomes and develop our services for an expanding caseload.

DPV Health is a major medical and allied health provider in the Cities of Hume and Whittlesea, providing a broad range of health and community services across Melbourne’s northern and bordering suburbs.

The physiotherapy department provides services to clients funded by Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), Home and Community Care (HACC), Community Health and, more recently, Fee for Service

With the roll-out of NDIS in Hume, DPV is rising to the challenge of a rapidly developing caseload working with NDIS clients.

The successful candidates will be responsible for providing high quality, client-centred physiotherapy services to a culturally diverse range of clients with chronic and complex conditions. The caseload ranges from complex musculoskeletal and chronic pain to neurological conditions, aged care and disability.

This position will be appointed dependent on experience.

 

The Grade 1 physiotherapist will be fully supported by comprehensive orientation and supervision to build clinical skills with complex clients. You will have excellent organisational skills, and enjoy contributing to development of group programmes and services. Recent graduates are welcome to apply.

 

The Grade 2 physiotherapist will demonstrate excellent clinical reasoning and treatment skills, and an innovative approach to development of group interventions. You will be able to work autonomously, while interacting fully with the multidisciplinary team. You will have a strong commitment to professional development, and engagement with your peers. Experience with supervision of junior staff, Allied Health Assistants and students is desirable.

 

The roles are fully supported by a Grade 3 physiotherapist with regular supervision and CPD.

 

Key selection criteria: Grade 1

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy, or Masters of Physiotherapy
  • Current Physiotherapy registration with AHPRA

 

Key Capabilities: Grade 1

  • Excellent baseline skills in assessment, treatment techniques and care planning
  • A strong interest in biopsychosocial approaches to health management
  • Experience with delivering group programmes
  • Experience with hydrotherapy.

 

Key selection criteria: Grade 2

  • Bachelors Degree in Physiotherapy, or Masters of Physiotherapy
  • Current full registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA)
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience as a physiotherapist including work with CALD, Aged Care and clients with a disability.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the provision of high quality Physiotherapy assessment, diagnostics and treatment including experience working within a multidisciplinary team and external service providers.

 

Key Capabilities: Grade 2

  • Experience in the application of the principles of client directed care, chronic disease management: comprehensive assessment, co-ordinated care, client goal setting and self management strategies.
  • Proven ability to manage a busy caseload efficiently and effectively.
  • Experience with implementing and evaluating clinical services.
  • Experience with supervision of junior staff

 

The role will involve:

  • 1:1 centre-based physiotherapy interventions.
  • Home-based assessment and interventions working with NDIS clients to achieve their goals.
  • 1:1 hydrotherapy interventions as required.
  • Delivery of group activities.
  • Identification and implementation of opportunities to deliver services to underserviced client groups.
  • Participation with Fee for Service delivery.

 

Essential:
