About the Role
Djerriwarrh Health Services is seeking a highly motivated, patient orientated and experienced Midwife to join our team of dedicated midwives in our maternity ward.
Our maternity unit has recently been renovated and provides 2 Antenatal assessment rooms, 2 birth rooms, 4 flex birth rooms, 8 postnatal rooms. You will work as part of a nurturing and collaborative environment, working with highly skilled an experienced midwives and obstetricians.
Djerriwarrh Health Services is a dynamic and rapidly expanding public health service providing Acute, Community and Aged Care to the City of Melton and Shire of Moorabool in Melbourne's Western suburbs.

The successful applicant will be required to provide a current Police Check and Working with Children Check prior to the commencement of employment.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing and promoting a high standard of care which meets the psychological, social and spiritual needs of each individual.
- Ensuring you work as an integral member of the health care team.
- Supporting the Manager in the supervision and education of staff, and in the planning implementation of the accreditation process.
- Contributing to the efficiency of the Unit and to assist the Unit Manager in the achievement of the performance targets and the successful management of the Unit's budget.
To succeed in this role you will have:
Essential:
- Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife
- Advanced Clinical Skills with the ability to provide high quality care
- Demonstrated to deliver high quality women centred care
- Successful completion of Fetal Surveillance Education Program - Level 2 minimum standard
