Better Outcomes and Support is looking for Enrolled Nurse with clinical experience in delivering complex care to people with disabilities and complex medical conditions in Cleveland and surrounding areas.
Eligibility:
- Must be an Enrolled Nurse with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and must have a Driver’s Licence.
- Must have Working with Children’s Check.
- Must have Australian Federation Police National Check.
- Must have International Police Check (foreign nationals).
- 2 years experience in providing nursing care to people with disabilities and complex clinical care needs.
Main responsibilities:
- To provide nursing care to patients in a variety of health, aged care, welfare and community settings under the supervision of the Agency Manager.
- To assess, plan and implement nursing care for patients and clients according to accepted nursing practice and standards.
- To provide interventions, treatments and therapies such as administering medications, and monitoring responses to treatments and care plans.
- To assist Registered Nurses and other team members to coordinate and evaluate care provided.
- To manage consumer directed care requires flexible & tailored coordination to meet specific customers' needs and incorporate shared care planning.
- To accurately record client data contributing to nursing assessment.
- To maintain quality systems in all aspects of care including infection control, cold chain, safety of hazardous materials and handling/disposal of medical waste.
Specific Duties required by Better Outcomes and Support:
- To work with individuals and their families to schedule and deliver nursing care and supports including personal care, clinical supports and engaging with the customers' communities.
- To demonstrate ability in working with ShiftCare rostering system.
- To demonstrate awareness of diversity and be respectful to all stakeholders of the enterprise.
- To demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- To demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills with customers, staff and allied health professionals.
- To demonstrate good time management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prepare reports to supervisors and team members by telephone, in written form, email, or in person.
- To provide personal assistance, medical attention, or emotional support to clients.
- To understand the risks associated with the delivering effective nursing and clinical care and ways to mitigate these risks.
- To ensure services are delivered in line with company policies and procedures.
- To maintain privacy and confidentiality and safe record management within guidelines.
This is a full-time position with 38 hours/week.
Salary $58,087 + Super.
