Wolper Jewish Hospital is a private not-for-profit hospital located in Woollahra, NSW. Our hospital is looking for experienced Registered Nurses (RN) to join our friendly and supportive team. We have casual and permanent positions (both part & full-time), working a rotating roster 7 days a week, available in our medical or rehabilitation wards.
The medical ward cares for 22 patients requiring either medical and/or palliative care. The ward also provides short-stay restorative care for older patients with complex medical needs. This service is run by Geriatricians who specialise in rehabilitation supported by a full multidisciplinary team.
Our rehabilitation unit accommodates 32 patients experiencing functional deficit caused by a range of conditions, mainly post orthopaedic surgeries (elective hip/knee replacement surgery) or musculoskeletal conditions. The goal of our inpatient rehabilitation program is to enable patients to return to a safe and independent lifestyle.
Some of the key responsibilities of our RNs include the delivery of quality, efficient and effective person-centred care as part of a larger multidisciplinary team which meets the needs of patients and their families or carers. Our RNs provide appropriate supervision and/or mentoring for other nursing staff, including delegation of care to Enrolled Nurses and Assistant in Nursing staff according to their competence and within their scope of practice. The RN will need to be able to respond effectively to any emergency situations and/or changing status of the patient.

Essential Criteria:
- Registration as a RN with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- A minimum of 3 years recent experience in an Australian hospital setting
- High level of communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively as a member of the multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads
- Commitment to own personal and professional development
Desirable Criteria:
- Basic computer literacy
- Knowledge and understanding of a team nursing model of care
- Experience in medical, palliative care and/or rehabilitation nursing
