A great opportunity to work full or part time in a brand new child mental health practice in Bondi Junction. The practice is committed to providing individualised Health Care at its highest level. The practice is looking for experienced Medical Receptionists/PAs for Part Time or Casual roles with the opportunity increase hours to full time.  

Maintaining the office of the practice and ensuring patients are comfortable is a priority.  Communication skills in managing children and supporting adults essential.  Experience with medical practice software and Medicare billing processes essential.  Clinic 2 Cloud experience desirable.

Mature-minded candidates with high-level social skills will enjoy working in this dynamic practice.

 

The Role:

You will be working with a professional and supportive team, complying with the practice policies and procedures, all within an enjoyable and friendly work environment. Your role will consist of meeting and greeting patients in a professional and courteous manner. You will be taking telephone enquiries, scheduling patient appointments, invoicing and receipting, using practice Clinic 2 Cloud practice management software  and assisting the Doctors, Allied Health and Practice Manager daily. 

The Candidate: 

To be eligible for this role you will:

  •  More than 2 years experience in medical practice setting, preferably previous experience in a paediatric setting (children and/or teenagers)
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality in regard to patient care in all aspects of the practice
  • Attend to cleanliness of the practice
  • Meeting and greeting patients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Enjoy working with children and adolescents and have a current Working With Children check and Police Check (or have these underway before interview)
  • Have a keen eye for patient flow with the booking schedule, including informing patients of any delays of appointments.
  • Ensuring medical records are managed confidentially and efficiently
  • Have working knowledge of Windows based software systems (e.g. Word, Excel)
  • Have an understanding of the Medical Benefits Schedule & medical terminology
  • Attend to infection control standards of the common areas of the practice, as well as be an advocate for compliance with OHS and the practice Accreditation standards. 
  • Be able to communicate and work productively within a team environment and ability to communicate with a diverse range of people.
  • Able to attend to doctors requests in a timely manner.
  • Be able to identify any equipment faults and coordinate any repairs

Essential:

  • Experience of 2 years or more in a medical practice setting with experience processing Medicare billing

Desirable: 

  • Experience with Clinic to Cloud billing software.
