About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic, team orientated individuals to join our professional care team, working across our facilities, provide competent and contemporary personal care in assisting with the functions of daily living according to individual needs of residents.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide personal care to assist residents to maintain independence and dignity with respect to activities of daily living and lifestyle
- Provide residents with nutrition and hydration in a timely manner
- Ensure residents daily care is provided in a dignified manner; resident looks neat and tidy, hair is well groomed, food stains removed from face and clothing
- Attend to toileting needs and continence care as required
- Legible and accurate documentation of daily care notes and observations as required with responsibility for ensuring up to date knowledge of Residential Care Standards and completion of assessment records
- Participate in documenting and review of care plans with Supervisor
Skills & Experience
- ESSENTIAL - Certificate III in Aged Care
- ESSENTIAL - Available to work morning and afternoon shifts
- ESSENTIAL - Minimum 4 days a week availability
- Proven experience working in an aged care environment
- Medication competency is an advantage
- Good communication skills and customer service
- Demonstrate an understanding of culturally diverse environments
- Demonstrated initiative and self motivation
