Seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist for a 4 day a week, school based role. It is a locally based business providing occupational therapy services to 3 schools in the Campbelltown area. The successful applicant will provide assessment, intervention and health promotion to a wide range of children from Kindergarten onwards. Some preschool outreach is also part of the role. 

Initially it is a 6 month contract with view to extend. Great hours, working 9-3 and you get school holidays!

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver quality OT services across a number of clinical sites in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards
• Work collaboratively and effectively with teachers, psychologists and speech pathologists to deliver quality clinical services
• Support the professional development of teachers and key players in the role of Occupational Therapy within the setting, as well as any areas of need that may arise
• Continual professional development to ensure the service adheres with evidence based practice, is innovative and cutting edge
• Actively ensure that OT services are integrated, efficient and equitable within the setting
• Planning, implementing and evaluating OT services using quality improvement processes

Requirements:

• Recognised university qualification in Occupational Therapy and current membership of AHPRA
• Experience working with a paediatric case load (0-12 years)
• Demonstrated organisational and time management skills
• Ability to manage a large caseload independently
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to build rapport with children, parents, teachers & other professionals
• Current Working With Children Check required
