Seeking a Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist in VIC
Seeking outgoing and personable physiotherapist and occupational therapist with excellent linguistics and clinical skills to join our mobile occupational health and rehabilitation team! You must be motivated, self driven and intuitive with the ability to hold an audience and positively influence a safe and supportive working environment.
Your job will be contract and paid in billable hours- you can accept or decline jobs to maintain work/life balance and optimise variety in your role. No weekends or late nights!
A bit about Safe Work Practice
Safe Work Practice was established in Adelaide 20 years ago by Mary Hill and Tracy Secombe and is now owned and operated out of Adelaide by Lisa Harman, servicing also Melbourne and Japan. We are a team of 7 physiotherapists and 2 occupational therapists and strive to improve a safe, supportive and encouraging working environment for all people. We work 1:1 closely with both work places, workers and also with clients in the community and residential care to achieve their goals and optimise return or maintenance of function and movement.
We have PT's and OT's that have been trained by Manutention Australia and have trainers ranging from levels 2-5, whom can bounce ideas around and assist with any queries.
We strive on our motivational and supportive approach to a run and encouraging learning environment with our training - this role would suit only outgoing, innovative - or even comical individuals!
Your role will include:
- Delivering upbeat practical manual handling training (clinical and industrial/ non clinical) in line with current OH & S legislative practices.
- Job dictionary assessments
- Physical capacity and functional assessments
- Return to work services
- Work place clinical physiotherapy
You MUST have:
- Excellent experience in manual handling training with clinical experience performing it within the health sector
- Experience with assessment for job dictionaries, functional assessments, physical capacity assessments
- Non restrictive AHPRA registration
- Non restrictive Australian driver's licence
- Active ABN (subcontractor role)
- Minimum $10 million dollar public liability and professional indemnity insurance (if coming on as a subcontractor)
- Police clearance within the last 2 years
Desired :
- Minimum of level 2 Manutention Training
- Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment
- Able to work during school pick up and drop off times some days of the working week
