About the opportunity

Uniting Home & Community Care enable, empower and promote independence so that people can remain active members of their community for as long as possible. To best enhance the lives of our clients, our Western Sydney team is growing. We are looking for a Permanent Part-Time Physiotherapist to engage with our service users across the Western Sydney area, who has the capacity to travel to South Western Sydney and/or the Nepean/Blue Mountains Region if needed.

If you have availability on Wednesday and Friday, we will guarantee a minimum of 3 shifts a week with the opportunity to pick up full time hours.

Working closely with the Senior Support Advisor for the region, you will create, implement and review tailored physiotherapy services to our clients. Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing physiotherapy programs and services specific to client needs as well as completion of functional assessments/reassessments
• Supporting clients to achieve their agreed goals enabling client resilience and independence
• Management and maintenance of referral and client waiting list including working on the post-hospital program
• Development and maintenance of referral pathways to other relevant services

Qualifications

Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent
Current AHPRA registration
First Aid Certificate

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a clinical, aged-care or community environment
• Experience conducting health screening and functional assessments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build rapport and trust with clients
• Strong time management and ability to prioritise
• Comprehensively insured vehicle and an unrestricted NSW drivers license
