We are currently seeking a Clinical Manager to work at The Mews aged care residence in Camberwell East.
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday, leadership position reporting directly to the Residential Manager.
As the second-in-charge of the residence, the Clinical Manager is primarily responsible for the leadership and management of the clinical care for the residents at The Mews and supports the Residential Manager in an acting capacity when they go on leave.
As the Clinical Manager at BlueCross/Sapphire Care your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to;
- Working with the Residential Manager and Care team to ensure that the residence meets and maintains all clinical care standards;
- Managing all reportable incidents and mandatory reporting obligations in consultation with the Residential Manager;
- Responsibility for sound medication management and associated systems;
- Managing the clinical teams timely and accurate documentation of resident care needs from initial admission and ACFI assessments to care plan development and regular reviews;
- Ensuring compliance with the Aged Care Accreditation Standards, in consultation with the Residential Manager and Care team.
To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate the following skills and experience;
- Solid experience in a similar role
- AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse Division One;
- High level understanding of Aged Care Legislation and Accreditation, quality systems and mandatory reporting;
- Demonstrated interpersonal, communication (verbal & written) and influencing abilities in liaising with internal and external customers;
- Previous financial management experience including managing medical supplies and equipment;
- Demonstrated ability in effectively leading and managing change;
- Proven ability to train and manage people, delegate and prioritise tasks and be results orientated;
- Monitor procedures and standards, provide continuous improvement and manage OHS and risk management;
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and data base management.
