The Practice

Carpentaria has a committed team of professional staff who are dedicated to providing evidence-based and person-centred treatment and supports to enable Territorians with a disability to build a bigger life.

Carpentaria employs high quality staff in a range of specialist disability support and allied health roles to support clients across our Carpentaria Kids, Adult Day Service, Support Coordination, Supported Independent Living, Adult Allied Health Team and Respite / Short Term Accommodation services. Recruitment to positions at Carpentaria is based on values, skills and qualifications.

The Role 

Two roles are currently available with responsible for providing for providing Occupational Therapy and key worker services to children aged birth to 18 years with developmental difficulties or adults with developmental difficulties . 

Applicants are required to provide a current CV and contact details for at least two referees.

Essential Criteria

  • Tertiary level qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a Paediatric occupational therapy setting with the ability to demonstrate clinical competency within the primary responsibilities described above.
  • Experience working with children and families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer literacy in Microsoft applications and Apple applications.
  • Current Ochre Card, Criminal History Check, First Aid Certificate and NT Drivers Licence.

Preferred Criteria

  • Registration as an Approved Prescriber with the Northern Territory Disability Equipment Program (or ability to obtain).
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications.
