About the aPM Clinic
The Agile Psychological Medicine (aPM) clinic provides an opportunity for people to access psychological therapy within days of contact with our emergency mental health services. Clinics are staffed entirely by senior psychologists and psychiatrists.
Using effective, evidence-based treatments, we partner with the client to provide face-to-face psychological treatment that understands and responds to the client’s immediate needs.
Agile Psychology has won numerous industry and development awards in the areas of innovation, health design and leadership, and we continue to regularly review and improve our outcomes. The Berwick aPM clinic operates from a very busy GP practice. This position will require attendance at the weekly clinical meeting (Monday afternoons), and for clients to be seen on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
About You
You have experience in delivering high quality specialist psychological care to consumers (primarily using solution focused and CBT approaches). You enjoy working with motivated clients in a public mental health environment.
As a member of the aPM team, you will be comfortable assessing and holding a level of risk for our community-based clients, knowing that you also have access to the full range of mental health services at Monash Health.
As a senior psychologist, you will also have the opportunity to demonstrate your leadership skills by supervising junior psychologists (including psychology registrars and post graduate students). Our team of psychologists and psychiatrists are supportive and welcoming. With you on board, our team will be complete.
