This position sits within the Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Service, a part of the Western NSW Local Health District. The successful applicant will be physically based in the Mental Health Inpatient Unit - Dubbo Health Service. What you'll be doing
The Senior Allied Health Professional is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team, providing high quality services to patients/ clients of the WNSW Local Health District in order to meet their health and wellbeing needs.
Selection Criteria
- Registration / Authority to Practice in the discipline with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated proficient written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.Extensive specialist or broad generalist knowledge, clinical proficiency and ability to work with minimal supervision, and collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and organise own work / caseload.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development, quality improvement and evidence based practice.
- Demonstrated ability to lead planning and evaluation of team activities.
- Demonstrated ability to provide and coordinate staff and student supervision
