Applications are invited from candidates anticipating their initial registration as a Registered Nurse in 2019.  If you apply via this advertisement you are applying to be considered for the Epworth Geelong Registered Nurse Graduate Program 2019 (Program).

Epworth Geelong provides quality patient care through linking clinical practice with research and practice development, working in partnership with Deakin University to incorporate a dedicated education precinct, purpose-designed teaching programs and integrated learning facilities within clinical areas of the hospital.

This site facilities clinical education, undergraduate and postgraduate medical, nursing and allied health students and is an important centre for research in a range of health sciences. This joint initiative is based on international models such as the Cleveland Clinic and Mayo Clinic, leading US not-for-profit hospitals which have demonstrated improved patient outcomes are achieved in a teaching hospital setting.

The Epworth Geelong Program offers two 6 month rotations within medical/oncology, surgical, chronic pain, and rehabilitation. 

In 2019 we are also offering a dedicated Theatre program that will include rotations through Anaesthetics/Recovery and Theatre.  Specify in your application letter if you are wanting to apply for this program.

  • A structured study component including; five professional development days
  • Facilitates your transition to become a confident and competent Registered Nurse

If you seeking a challenge and opportunities in a friendly, supportive environment then the Epworth Geelong Registered Nurse Graduate Program is for you. Positions are 30.4 hours per week, including a rotating roster across all shifts. Successful applications will be offered a commencement date in early February 2019.

  • The names and contact details of two clinical referees (preferably from acute setting placements)

Then:

  • Certified copy of your academic transcript (with key)
  • Certified copies of two acute clinical placement reports, one preferably from 3rd year
  • A passport size photo with your name written on the underside.
