Casual Physiotherapists for weekday work with the possibility of weekend work

 

Experienced Physiotherapists are required to join a core group of specialist Allied Health Practitioners to ensure the provision of high quality services to patients at a number of Calvary Hospitals.  These roles are to help with the covering of planned and unplanned leave. Please indicate your potential availability in your application letter i.e. potential hours per days and days of the week you might be available to cover leave.   

 

About the role

There are a number of different clinical areas across the different Calvary Hospitals.  Applicant’s scope of practice will be matched against the different clinical areas of the different hospitals.  This may result in successful applicants working either at one site, or multiple sites, dependent on their relevant clinical experience and skills. 

 

The core clinical areas required include the following:

  • ICU/ Cardiothoracic/ Respiratory
  • Neurosurgery/ Neurology
  • General Surgery
  • Orthopaedics
  • General Medical
  • Rehabilitation
  • Ambulatory Rehabilitation
  • Oncology / Haematology
  • Palliative Care

What you bring  

  • Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
  • Current clinical experience working in one or more of the specialties listed above.
  • Experience with managing patients during the acute/ post acute phase is essential
  • Self motivated and enthusiastic and eager to support the Physiotherapy team to provide high quality Physiotherapy services for inpatient and ambulatory rehabilitation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the desire to be part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering integrated and quality healthcare patient outcome
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
