Purpose of Position
The provision of and development of Specialist Anaesthetic Services to patients at Grafton Base and Maclean District Hospitals.
The support and facilitation of a culture of learning and best practice in Anaesthetic Services and the Clarence Health Service as a whole.

Selection Criteria
Medical Practitioner registered or eligible for registration as a specialist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Fellowship of the Australian & New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and/or Specialist recognition as provided for under the Health Insurance Act 1973 or the Staff Specialist (State) Award. Evidence of satisfactory participation in the ANZCA Continuing Medical Education program (or equivalent). Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively as part of a team and provide leadership of a team. Experience in and commitment to clinical governance and quality activities. Demonstrated interest in teaching medical students, junior medical officers and other hospital clinical staff. Ability to participate in a 1:4 on call roster.
