What you'll be doing The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) is responsible for expert clinical organisation, coordination, leadership and consultancy services within the area of nursing specialty across multiple service groups, target populations and health care professionals within Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD). This position works with high risk client groups including populations with multi morbidities and complex care needs. This position is responsible for completing comprehensive clinical assessments on patients identified as meeting the criteria for complex case management. Selection Criteria Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), with at least 5 years fulltime equivalent post registration clinical experience including 3 at least years' experience in Aboriginal Health in a rural/remote context, and post graduate qualifications relevant to the specialty.Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills to effectively engage and collaborate with Managers, members of the multidisciplinary team, community members and stakeholders.Advanced information technology skills to provide complex consultancy services and influence innovative nursing practice.Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively both independently and as part of the multidisciplinary health care team.Demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice.Demonstrated clinical expertise and clinical leadership in the area of specialty.Demonstrated ability to identify education needs and develop education for patients/clients and health care professionals.Licence to drive in NSW with the ability to drive regularly for work purposes (including overnight stays).
