Position: Registered Nurse (Haematology, Bone Marrow Transplant and Oncology)

Employment Type: Permanent Full Time and Full Time Fixed Term contracts.

Hours per week: 38.

Position Grade: RN01 - RN08.

Salary: $61,090.67 - $85,781.57.

Enterprise Agreement: Named NSW (non-declared) Affiliated Health Organisations’ Nurses Agreement 2011

Position Summary:

Vacancies currently exist in the above unit for highly motivated and highly skilled Registered Nurses to join our team of committed staff caring for patients on ward Xavier 9 South (X9S). Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centered care.



X9S is currently being transformed into a brand new, state of the art treatment facility for cancer services. The transformation and complete refurbishment of X9S will ensure that X9S has optimum healthcare facilities to treat Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT), Haematology and Oncology patients. X9S will be a brand new ward, containing 20 newly fabricated single rooms, specifically designed to meet the demands and requirements of our patient population. X9S will be a dedicated centre of excellence at SVH for the provision of care of cancer patients.



The installation of these 20 single rooms, will ensure our patients are provided with optimum facilities to assist them on their journey through our service. The project will have taken up to 10 months to complete, with the ward scheduled to re-open in September 2018. This is an extremely exciting time for the service. We now have an opportunity to recruit nursing staff to join us on this exciting journey. Positions are available for both permanent full time positons and fixed term contracts. We will be recruiting into these vacancies, anticipating that successful candidates will commence upon the re-opening of the new ward. Experience in cancer care would be an advantage for applicants.
