Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.
Opportunities currently exist for enthusiastic, highly experienced and qualified general Grade 3 Sonographers - Part time Permanent or Full time Fixed Term to join our Radiology Department. Remuneration will be dependent on experience and skills.
The Radiology Department operates at both the Austin and the Heidelberg Repatriation Hospitals and provides a full range of diagnostic and interventional radiology services to the patients of Austin Health and the surrounding community.
Ultrasounds for inpatients, including ICU and emergency department patients are performed at the Austin Hospital. The majority of work is Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:00 with some out of hours work available. The Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital deals almost entirely with outpatients. Appointment times are 30 minutes and involve a range of primary and tertiary level general, breast, gynaecological and musculoskeletal imaging. Ultrasound machines are newly replaced and include a mix of Philips Epiq and Canon 800’s.

All appointments are made subject to the candidate providing a current satisfactory National Police Certificate conducted by Victoria Police.
