About the role

Within the framework of the mission, vision, values, philosophy and policies of the Little Company of Mary the Technical Assistant will assist the medical officer and Registered Nurse to attend to Venepuncture, Cannulation, ECG recording, Arterial blood gas sampling, Point of Care Testing and application of Plaster of Paris splints and casts.

 

What you bring 

• Venepuncture and/or cannulation qualifications and/or experience
• Demonstrated communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
• Previous work experience in the health service/hospital environment
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and in periods of high demand and activity
• Understanding and commitment to apply the principles of Infection Prevention and Control
• Commitment to the Mission, Vision and Values of Calvary and the ability and desire to uphold these at all times.
