St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne has extended its trusted, state of the art health care services to areas west of Melbourne and has recently opened the doors of the new private hospital Maternity Unit.

St Vincent's Private Werribee is a not-for-profit, private Catholic hospital. We provide you with the highest quality healthcare, modern facilities and the latest technology. St Vincent's Private Hospital Werribee is the fourth hospital to open under the umbrella of St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne, a facility of St Vincent’s Health Australia under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries.

The Services available in our new private hospital will include orthopaedic, obstetrics, cardiology, ear nose and throat, plastic and reconstructive surgery, urology, gynaecology, general surgery, vascular, rehabilitation and oncology/infusions. Facilities will include operating theatres, a day procedure unit, oncology/infusion unit, a cardiac catheter laboratory, delivery suites and a level 1 special care nursery and a rehabilitation gymnasium.

With successful placement of our senior management positions in our brand new facility, we have exciting full time, part time and casual opportunities now available for Registered Midwives.

The successful applicant will be responsible for;

  • Taking full responsibility for planning and delivering of nursing care to patients
  • Will make decisions regarding patient care and patient management
  • Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care

It is essential that the successful applicant has the following;

  • Current midwifery registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with a minimum of 2 years Midwifery experience
  • Willing to be flexible according to departmental needs and will be able to work across all areas of maternity and all shifts
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office products.
  • Proficiency in email software and electronic communication.
  • Willingness to undertake further studies or to pursue other self-development activities.
