The Role
Epworth HealthCare is seeking a Loans Coordinator. Joining our busy and team orientated Loans team, this role is accountable for providing excellent, professional service and knowledge to process surgical instruments in our CSSD. In this role, you will process instruments for all specialities for a large perioperative service that runs 28 operating theatres, 4 catheter laboratories and a day procedure unit.
Key areas of focus for this role include:
- Timely processing of surgical instruments
- Accurate documentation of equipment for all cases
- Providing excellent customer service
Skills & Experience
To be successful in the role you will:
- Have a Certificate III in Sterilising Services or an equivalent qualification (essential)
- Current knowledge of sterilisation techniques
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Be highly organised and motivated with the ability to multi task in a busy workplace
- Have the ability to prioritise and a high attention to detail
- Be team orientated
- Be passionate about patient care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes
- Be able to participate in rotating shifts, including weekends and afternoon shifts
