The Cardiothoracic/Cardiology Ward is seeking suitably experienced Registered Nurses to join their dynamic team. There are permanent full-time and permanent part-time positions available.

Where you'll be working

Ward 6B is a 30 bed Cardiothoracic & Cardiology Ward, providing a good mix of surgical & medical nursing opportunities. The unit caters for patients pre & post Cardiac surgery, and is a fast paced environment. The ward offers professional development opportunities to pursue Post Graduate Cardiac studies, and supportive staff to educate & mentor.

What you'll be doing

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the greater health care team to achieve quality patient care outcome.


Employees must abide by the NSW Health Code of Conduct. Criminal record checks will be undertaken on successful applicants and applicants for positions designated as Category A will be required to obtain required vaccinations prior to commencing employment. 

 

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
  • Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
  • Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Current experience in an acute hospital environment.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
  • A commitment to excellence in nursing practice and continuing professional development.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • An understanding of the professional, ethical and legal requirements of the Registered Nurse.
