CRITICAL CARE REGISTERED NURSES

With a large fleet of patient transport vehicles, NPT provides patient transport services 24 hours a day, 365 days in a year, operating from various branches across Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia.

National Patient Transport is a licenced Non-Emergency Patient Transport provider with head office in Melbourne.

NPT's High Acuity Transport Service is currently seeking expressions of interest from Critical Care Registered Nurses with recent experience in the acute patient setting to join our growing team. A Patient Transport bridging 1 day training course will be provided.

Successful candidates will be required to work various shift times over a 24 hour period including evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.

Permanent Part time positions may be considered. 

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Primary care of high acuity patients during inter-hospital transfers
  • Primary care of low and medium acuity patients as required
  • Working as part of a team to deliver high quality care and treatment in a safe, timely and efficient manner
  • Compliance with patient care documentation requirements
  • Adhering to all relevant regulations and clinical practice protocols
  • Compliance with organisational policies and procedures
  • Maintaining critical care currency by continuing to work in the acute setting
  • Maintaining currency of acquired NEPT qualifications

Position requirements:

  • Post Graduate Critical Care qualification is a must
  • Minimum 5 years recent critical care experience
  • Current APHRA registration
  • Current Victorian Manual Driver's licence
  • Current Working with Children's Check
  • Current Police Check

  • ∙Ability to take a leadership role within the team to ensure high standards of patient care and safety is maintained at all times
  • ∙Clear communication with good interpersonal skills
  • ∙Flexibility and willingness to work overtime as required.
