The Role:

 

We currently have full time and part time ongoing opportunities for Registered Nurses with, or working towards their formal mental health nursing qualification, to join our great multi-disciplinary team in assessing and treating young people admitted to the Banksia Ward.

 

The Banksia Ward is a 16 bed acute adolescent inpatient ward that delivers mental health care to consumers aged 12 to 18 years of age. The Banksia Ward strives to deliver excellent, evidence based mental health care in the least restrictive environment. This includes delivering timely care, with a focus on building family and community supports that aid a safe and timely discharge for the young person. 


We are seeking nurses who have a passion for working in this challenging, yet extremely rewarding area of mental health nursing. Utilising your nursing skill set to work closely with the team, whilst contributing to excellent care of young people and their families during their stay with us.

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA. 
  • Appropriate Mental Health nursing qualification, or working towards same. 
  • Recent experience in Mental Health nursing. 
  • Evidence of on-going professional development as reflected in Professional Practice Portfolio.
