About Monash Health Bureau

Monash Health Bureau (MHB) is an efficient workforce unit that allocates shifts across Mental Health in patient services at Monash Medical Centre, Dandenong Hospital, Casey Hospital, Kingston Centre, and community based services in Doveton, East Bentleigh, and Clayton.  We deliver experienced nursing staff to meet the demands of our multi specialised mental health services including withdrawal and rehabilitation services.

We are now recruiting professional and skilled Registered Nurses and Endorsed Enrolled Nurses to join our Mental Health Nursing Pool as permanent part time employees to work a minimum of 32 hours a fortnight.

About the opportunities

We are looking for experienced nurses to work across our Mental Health facilities and services, including

  • In Hospital Adult, Paediatric, Adolescent and Early in Life services;
  • Community based facilities;
  • CAT services;
  • Aged Mental Health; and
  • Withdrawal and rehabilitation services.

You will have the ability to maintain a high level of communication with patients, visitors and colleagues enabling you to deliver exceptional care. As an integral part of the organisation you are the face of the MHB workforce and consistently demonstrate our core values.

About You

You are an experienced Mental Health Registered Nurse or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse with a strong focus on patient centred care who is able to commit to contracted hours working four to nine days per fortnight.  Through your hard working and enthusiastic nature you have the ability to adapt to changing settings and have the flexibility to work to a rotating roster which includes morning, afternoon and night shifts  You can choose to work at locations close to home.

What you need to have

  • Current AHPRA registration;
  • Current Working with Children’s Check;
  • Proven relevant experience;
  • A minimum of six months  experinece in mental health setting.
  • Relevant working visa and
  • Relevant qualifications.

What to expect

  • Input your availabilities and receive your roster via our electronic systems;
  • You will receive your roster six weeks in advance;
  • Exposure to a variety of hospital settings and working with Monash Health’s exceptional healthcare clinicians;

MHB will work with and support you in designing a roster that considers your work life balance along with the needs of the organisation.

  • Support and exposure to different clinical specialities; and
  • Access to a Nurse Consultant specific for this workforce.
