About the business and the role
The dental assistant is a key person in the delivery of dental care to patients. You will primarily be assisting the dentist in the delivery of dental care. Some sterilisation duties and light reception duties (making appointments) also required. The job includes some Saturdays.
Job tasks and responsibilities
You will need to be fast and efficient with preparing instruments for the dentist. You will need to adhere to infection control standards in the sterilization of equipment. Dental patients are usually anxious so having a caring and friendly nature is a definite advantage.
Skills and experience
Experience preferred. On the job training provided for an exceptional candidate.By the end of 2 years you will be expected to have completed a certificate 3 in dental assisting via TAFE.
