Casual Optical Assistant role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated person to join a dedicated small team as an Optical Assistant in a modern and progressive independent optometry practice. This is an ideal opportunity to utilise your retail sales and interpersonal skills to provide service and assistance that will delight our patients.

In our optometry practice, you will have an opportunity to work closely with our patients, assist them with their eye care needs including frame and lens selections, contact lens, general administration and other receptionist tasks as required.

You will bring your dispensing skills, face-to-face retail experience, product knowledge, excellent communication skills and team focus to our optometry practice.

The successful applicants MUST have the following skills and attributes:

• Be willing and able to greet patients in a bright, friendly manner and promptly attend to their needs.
• Enjoy delivering exceptional patient service over the phone and face-to-face.
• Have experience in Optics
• Demonstrate the ability to find the right frames, sunglasses and other appliances to meet the patients' needs.
• Able to work autonomously.
• Be computer literate and fluent in the use of Optomate practice management software.
• Great attention to detail

Ideally you will have worked in a similar role. Optical experience is necessary to be successful in this role and further training will be provided.
