The Role

As part of our next stage of growth, we are seeking experienced, flexible and patient care orientated Critical Care Registered Nurses who wish to be involved in providing excellence in clinical care within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) environment at Epworth Geelong. 

Our 12 bed, light filled, state of the art ICU has opened with 6 beds with a plan to open further beds to meet our growing clinical services and higher patient acuity needs.

This is an exciting opportunity for patient centred Critical Care Registered Nurses who are willing to grow with our Intensive Care services whilst being supported by a friendly and welcoming team.

 Key areas of focus for this role include:

  • Delivering an exceptional patient experience within the critical care environment
  • Providing high standards of nursing care
  • Encouraging and role-modelling empathy to patients, families and medical consultants 

Skills & Experience

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Hold current nursing registration with AHPRA
  • Have completed a post graduate qualification in critical care nursing
  • Have a contemporary knowledge of best practice in critical care and the patient journey
  • Be highly accountable to your patients and their families
  • Be passionate about patient care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and collaborative approach
