International SOS provides clinical staff to the Australian Defence Force (ADF) across NSW & ACT. Our employees play a vital role in ensuring our Airforce, Army and Naval personnel are both physically and mentally equipped to protect our country. These on-base roles are both highly rewarding and challenging.

We are currently seeking a Physiotherapist to deliver medical services to ADF staff at both Wagga and Kapooka Health Centres. International SOS are offering an attractive hourly rate of $49/hr + super with a flexible roster.

What will you do?

  • These roles are primarily responsible for undertaking evidence based practice physiotherapy assessments, treatments and rehabilitative services to Entitled Personnel in an outpatient, inpatient or rehabilitation work area.  Clinical tasks may include:

  • Provide direction on, and / or conduct exercise prescription, gym based rehabilitation programs, hydrotherapy and physiotherapy related return-to-work rehabilitation services

  • Splinting, plastering and fitting of orthoses or other physiotherapy prescribed devices

  • Provision of instruction, advice and recommendations to ADF staff

  • Use of electrotherapy modalities correctly and safely in accordance with APA guidelines

  • Participate in the Joint Health Command Clinical Governance Program

What do you need to apply?

  • Looking after the health of our Defence Force and proactively managing health issues is paramount! In order to do so, we require our applicants to:
  • Be Australian Citizens (to obtain a Baseline Security clearance, which are only granted to Australian Citizens)

  • Hold a recognised tertiary degree in Physiotherapy and current unrestricted registration with AHPRA

  • Demonstrate (on your resume) a minimum of two (2) full-time years (or part-time equivalent, approximately 3,900 hours) post graduate muskuloskeletal experience over the last 5 years in an accredited physiotherapy environment.
