Registered Nurse Positions (Grade 2)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Registered Nurses to work in Kerferd Inpatient Unit – North East and Border Mental Health Service Albury Wodonga Health.
Ideally applicants would have demonstrated that they have experience in the area of Mental Health or a desire and enthusiasm to do so. We are seeking enthusiastic, proactive and passionate nurses to join our innovative and best practise team.
The successful applicant/s will be required to perform primary nursing duties as part of the clinical multidisciplinary treating team in a supportive therapeutic environment.
The successful applicant will also be required to:
- Have sound nursing assessment and team collaboration skills;
- Utilise interpersonal therapeutic interventions;
- Have well developed documentation skills
- Have well developed communication skills.
- Have a sound understanding of Recovery Focused Care and be able to apply Recovery principles in all interactions, practices and documentation
- Work within a rotating roster. Self - rostering is available which promotes flexibility supporting a family friendly work / life balance.
Kerferd Unit is a Safe-wards site.
Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the Victorian Public Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement 2016-2020.

Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate Criminal Record Screening paperwork/processes in order for AWH to meet its obligations regarding screening for serious criminal offences (within and external to Australia). Successful applicants will be required to complete mandatory orientation modules using the AWH e-learning system prior to commencing employment.
This is a Category A position. Successful applicants of Category A positions must provide evidence of vaccination prior to commencement.
