Enrolled Nurse - Complex Care Employment Type: Permanent Full Time Position Classification: Enrolled Nurse Remuneration: 55064.04 - 59827.95 Hours Per Week: 38 Requisition ID: REQ53666 The focus of the position is to support the intake of clients into the Complex Care Coordination Team and support other Ongoing and Complex Care Services by way of communicating their client’s admission to hospital. The Enrolled Nurse may at times play a clinical role through the provision of nursing care and transport for people in the community living with chronic conditions. What you'll be doing The Enrolled Nurse is an integral part of the nursing team, working under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse to support and care for patients to: Deliver safe and appropriate care to clients in the community. Provide nursing care within scope of practice and consistent with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Professional Practice Framework. Work within the team environment supporting other and less experienced staff where applicable. Ensure delegated nursing responsibilities are within own scope of practice and appropriate supervision is accessible to support safe practice. Provide individual client care as a member of a nursing team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Be accountable for practice and participate in own Performance Management process. Participate in professional and self-development activities. Contribute to the profession of nursing. Current registration with the AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) with a Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia approved qualification for administration of medication (including intravenous medication administration) and hold a Valid Current Drivers Licence. Demonstrated Nursing knowledge and skills relevant to Community Nursing. Demonstrated effective communication skills through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills; including sound computer and keyboard skills with computer literacy, or willing to be trained in computer use relating to currently used computer systems within the local health district. Understanding of team nursing and demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of the multi-disciplinary health care team. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own workload. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice. Demonstrated ability to accept accountability and responsibility for own actions within Enrolled Nurses scope of practice and works within the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Councils (ANMS) Framework ‘Competency Standards for the Enrolled Nurse’. Demonstrated understanding of how the District is Caring for the Coast and how this role would contribute. Need more information?
