We do this through 28 Vision Australia centres in Victoria, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia; 30 clinics; and through outreach programs in the Northern Territory and Tasmania.
An exciting opportunity awaits an energetic, motivated Allied health Assistant who shares our values to be Person Centred, Accountable, Collaborative, Commercially Focused and Agile, to join our team in Gippsland working out of the Warragul office. This role is to be performed under the supervision of an allied health practitioner.
Responsibilities
As an Allied health Assistant at Vision Australia you will:
- Assist in organising, implementing and facilitating individual or group programs/services designed by an allied health practitioner
- Support the initial contact process including taking calls, identifying client priority needs and scheduling appointments in the team services calendars
- Support the allied health practitioner/primary service provider to coordinate the provision of services internally for clients and families and to liaise with external service providers as required to achieve desired outcomes for clients.
- Provide administrative support to allied health practitioners including ordering and maintaining equipment and environments, information gathering and preparation of documentation/correspondence
Requirements
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent)
- Knowledge and skills in working with children, adults and older adults
- Experience in providing client support and allied health assistant services in person and/or through other communication mediums
- Training and intervention strategies for individuals and groups
