Location: Narrabri District Hospital

In this position you will be required to work across both midwifery and nursing at the thirty eight bed hospital. In a region with a referral population of 13,000 there are approximately fifty births each year. The hospital provides service in surgical, emergency, paediatrics, medical, maternity, allied health and medical imaging. 

Located in the heart of the Namoi Valley in north?western NSW, Narrabri is a vibrant centre known for industries in cotton, beef and wheat. A haven for foodies, the area offers an abundance of beautiful local produce such as olives, wine, honey and pasta. Nature enthusiasts relish the unique natural attractions, including the breathtaking Mt Kaputar National Park, formed around an extinct volcano rising dramatically out of the black soil plains. Enjoy stunning walking tracks, hot artesian bore baths, camping, and numerous water sports. Narrabri is a great place for families; voted the most sporting town in Australia, it offers many recreational facilities, as well as three primary schools, a high school and numerous child care centres. Locals appreciate the inland lifestyle and sense of community all only two hours? drive from Tamworth and Moree.

To be eligible for employment in these roles you must be one of the following:

  • an Australian Citizen, or
  • a permanent resident of Australia, or
  • a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or
  • a citizen of another country with an appropriate visa that allows you to work in Australia 

You can only be offered employment in this role for the duration that your current visa allows you to work in Australia, and you can only be offered ongoing employment if you have a permanent visa that allows you to work in Australia. Please provide as part of your application.
