About the Role

Would you like to play a key role in progressing opportunities to improve and redesign services for patients who access specialist clinics?  You will learn alongside quality improvement and redesign experts that will enable you to coordinate, co-facilitate and undertake initiatives that monitor and improve access and service development in the outpatient setting.  You will make a difference to the patient experience by supporting redesign opportunities and practises, utilising lean and A3 techniques, implementing project management, process mapping and analysing work flows,

As the Access & Service Development Officer for Adult Specialist Clinics at Western Health you will work 9 days per fortnight and work across both Footscray and Sunshine Hospital campuses.

In order to be successful in this role you will need:

  • The ability to learn, understand and implement Lean, A3 and project management principles and tools;
  • Demonstrated ability to learn on the job as initiatives unfold;
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills (including report writing and ability to explain information in a simple way to a variety of audiences);
  • Ability to develop, implement and evaluate improvement activities in a timely manner.
