3 x (0.6 FTE) Part Time Fixed Term Positions
These positions will provide psychological services to the Communities of Cape York, by delivering high level evidence based therapeutic interventions for individuals and families, as part of the SEWB program. This program aims to improve the safety and wellbeing of families, and the broader community to increase their sense of healing and personal wellbeing.
The successful candidates will hold relevant qualification from a registered tertiary institution, registration with the Australian Health Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and possession of a current annual licence certificate is essential. Psychology Board of Australia endorsement to supervise postgraduate students, provisional psychologists, and psychologists completing the registrar program is highly desirable.
Previous experience in undertaking successful interventions with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities, delivered in a variety of modalities including client education, individual assessment, individual and group therapeutic interventions and community development. A Demonstrated high level knowledge and skills in evidence based therapeutic interventions for individuals, families and communities with complex needs, with a particular focus on mental health, substance misuse, addictions, grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, body image and identity, family violence, sexual abuse/assault and maintaining healthy lifestyles will also be considered desirable.
