A thriving Paediatric Psychology practice in Melbourne's west is seeking child/educational/clinical psychologists for subcontracting roles.
We have an excellent reputation for providing highly effective interventions and supports in a practical down to earth way. We are looking for clinicians with similar values to meet the ever increasing demand for our services.
Based in Werribee, the clinician/s will be available to work 1-5 days per week (how much or how little is up to you!!).
This extremely rewarding role has a focus on assessment and therapy for Children 0-18; on the Autism Spectrum, as well as children experiencing Behaviour, Emotional and Learning Difficulties
The successful applicant will have the following essential skills:
- Experience administering and interpreting educational and diagnostic assessments e.g. Developmental Assessments, Wechsler Battery of Assessments, Literacy e.g. Neale , Wood-Cock Johnson) Adaptive Behaviour, Behaviour checklists etc.
- Ability to connect with challenging clients and families, using a relaxed and practical communication style
- Willingness to travel to schools, kindergartens/childcare and clients homes for some sessions.
- Be open to liaising with paediatricians, allied health professionals and educators under a multidisciplinary assessment/therapy focus
- Be creative, self motivated, efficient and able to work independently to meet deadlines
- Experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum a significant advantage
- Eligible for Medicare Provider Number (Registered Psychologist with AHPRA)
- Provide own Indemnity Insurance
